Description
SURFAPOL 2440 and 2441 are cost effective biodegradable low foam non-ionic surfactants based on branched C8 and C10 alcohol ethoxylates exhibiting excellent solvating power. They improve penetration and wetting properties when used in solvent based and hybrid solvent-emulsion based degreasers or when combined with other surfactants in alkaline water-based industrial cleaning formulations.
Application
SURFAPOL 2440 and 2441 are cost effective biodegradable low foam non-ionic surfactants based on branched C8 and C10 alcohol ethoxylates exhibiting excellent solvating power. They improve penetration and wetting properties when used in solvent based and hybrid solvent-emulsion based degreasers or when combined with other surfactants in alkaline water-based industrial cleaning formulations.Recommended for use in industrial emulsifiable solvent-based degreasers and water-based degreasing formulations, particularly effective when combined with biodegradable hydrocarbon and ester oils as alternatives to hazardous solvents and d-limonene.
Added to oils, they can form easy to wash off water-dispersible solvent cleaners. A high surfactant to oil ratio enables production of high active water based microemulsion industrial cleaners where these surfactants contribute to the solvency in removing asphalt, resins, greases and oils. Amphoteric and anionic surfactants may be added to adjust emulsions stability at different dilutions and stability at higher temperatures.
When added to water based alkaline industrial cleaning formulations they improve degreasing, wetting, solubilizing, and penetration properties in dip cleaners, tank cleaners, and spray cleaners.
